2018 Round Up
2018 has been very crazy and busy. It's been the most successful for my career growth, with lots of wonderful writing opportunities arising. I've accomplished so much and done so many things. It doesn't feel like 2018 has been a year, more like 5 years in one. Can someone confirm that the World Cup was this year? Summer feels too long away now.
FYI, most of these highlights feature on my Instagram (which I have been absolutely lovin this year), soooo, follow me @brigeorgie

The highlights
- Ran my first ever 10km in May
- Finished 2nd year and began my final year of university (SCREAMS)
- Saw Haim live in London in June!!! The best gig ever. If I could be a Haim sister, or just be their pal
- Saw my favourite podcast, Nobody Panic, recorded live at a Waterstones in London
- Ate far too many takeaway pizzas with my flat mate. This has been me making up for the lack of takeaways I ate in my first year of university
- Had a mad moment and dyed my hair (not permanent) jade green early in the year
- Started a paid internship at a tech company in Bath. I work as a copywriter, writing all the words for the business and manage the social media accounts. It has taught me so much and I love working in an office environment (Who knew) and wearing smart clothing every day and making a close group of friends who make every working day sooo much fun
- I have visited the Science, and Natural History museums in London
- Been to Junkyard golf in London with two of my friends, this was so much fun playing crazy golf a little bit drunk and the cocktails were super inventive
- I visited Temple of Seitan in London with my sister and tried their vegan chicken for the first time!! Amazing
- I went on a family holiday to Devon in April
- Had my first ever club experience in Bath as a uni student
- My flatmate and I planned and hosted many parties, including easter and summer themed parties, along with my flatmates 22nd birthday party which was an 80/90's theme and I dressed as Sporty Spice!
- Explored the Roman Baths, I get admission for free because I'm a student in Bath!
- My mum came to Bath for a few nights, we ate vegan food at the Chapels Arts Cafe and did a lot of walking and exploring!
- Have to say it, the World Cup was a massive highlight of 2018. I don't enjoy football that much, but the atmosphere in pubs was fantastic and it was an excuse to day drink, cos football?
- Went to Brighton
- Celebrated my 5th diabetes anniversary
- Drank many a fancy cocktail with my new work pals in Bath
- Started editing work on an actual children's picture book????
- Read 48 books (so far). My goal is 50 by the end of the year and I'm currently reading two books at the same time so we'll make it!
- Received a signed copy of The Loneliest Girl in the Universe by Lauren James
- Discovered the young adult author Alice Oseman and my obsession continues
- Visited Birmingham Christmas market with my mum and sister
What have I been watching?
- Lady Bird (Saoirse Ronan is so pretty)
